Over the years been termed a 'Rebellion' made me realize that it is the 'Rebels' who often are the pioneers and designers of Change! At the age of 18, with a legacy of 9 years of living amongst the mountains of waste, we are the firm believers of the fact that 'Recycling' is the only mantra for the future generations, as 'Nature' is designed to survive, but the living species need to evolve to survive. Either we change our habits & mindset and learn to 'Throw @ the Right Place' or we would wash away as thousands of the mightiest species have over the years.
As Sir George Bernard Shaw quoted: ‘The Golden Rule is that there are No Golden Rules’. Thankfully, my family imbibed this seed and helped nurture a thought process, which often was (and still is) criticized by many. While I had the freedom to blossom and explore the strength of my wings; I was often pulled and looked down upon by many and was told that a 9-year-old is not proficient to conceptualize & start a venture. In addition, I was gifted many names throughout my schooling days such as ‘kabbadi’ and ‘kachre waala’. Am most thankful to such people who awoke the rebel in me; which got me up every time there was a roadblock & made me learn from what people called my failures.
Being 18, I am no expert and claim no match of the expertise & knowledge that is possessed by the pioneers in the field of waste management & recycling, but I do possess what most people lack – the will to ‘Think Differently’ & the ‘Passion to Learn from my Mistakes’; which more often than not people term as failures.
While my approach & conduct was considered rebellion by most; there were and still are people who mentored me through the entire journey & supported me through the low phases when I was being bullied, looked down upon & called names. The list of these kind people is huge starting from my teachers @ Pathways & DPS International; to the customers from whose houses I used to collect the waste/ scrap; to the corporate houses who did not ignore my pitch considering me as a mere child; to the bureaucrats who guided me to structure my thoughts in a lawful manner; to the scientists & thinkers who helped convert my ideas to something tangible; and to my team who believed in me and still continues to spend hours every day managing what people throw and discard & often call waste or garbage. This journey gave birth to 'Max Xchange', a brand that is inspired by 'Nature' & truly believes, 'Except Time, everything is Recyclable'.
